Youth Group

The Youth of Westminster have always played an important role in our family here at Westminster. Youth programs are designed to play an essential part of their lives, and offer organized, safe, fun, and educational ways of worshiping the Lord, learning, teaching, and making new friends. The two main groups are the Middlers (grades 6  - 8), and Senior Highs (grades 9 - 12). Each of these groups has their own mini-mission statement, and a variety of service and fellowship activities planned throughout the year.

The Senior Highs usually meet Sunday evenings from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. They are supervised by an energetic corps of adults including the Youth Coordinator and a regimen of Youth Advisers. Activities throughout the year include Mitzvah Day, concerts, meeting youth groups from other churches, socializing at Spot Coffee, hiking, sending care packages to college students, Advent bowling, serving in a Soup Kitchen, donation drives to local organizations, serving as worship leaders, apple pie and Allentown parking fundraisers, and a mission trip to Maine every summer.  The Senior Highs travel to Maine and do community work for a week. It is a fun-filled trip, with laughter, love, memories, praise, lessons, work, and friendships.

The Westminster Middlers (grades 6 - 8) are at that pivotal child/adolescent/young adult transition point in their life journey. The Middlers experience growth, develop leadership and character skills, and receive loving support and guidance. They participate in a Middler work camp each year at the end of August, comprised of both community service and fellowship activities. Throughout the year, they meet once 1 - 2 times per month, for both fun and service activities.
